Description | Weir and Dandelions, 1996. The weir complex at Driel consists of a barrier of two semicircles facing into the current of the Lower Rhine. Usually shipping travels through the accompanying lock, but when water discharge is considerable the barriers are hoisted along the white curves of concrete on which the engine rooms stand. |
